Frequently Asked Questions

How do I officially book M.A.W.Beauty for my wedding?

We’re so happy that you’d like to work with us! Once we determine if we are available for your date, a copy of our contract will be sent to you via email. Our contract can be completed online and singed electronically. Upon receiving the completed and signed contract, we will process your $300 non-refundable retainer, which will be applied to the total balance of your services. Upon receiving your contract and retainer, you date will be considered “booked”. If you should place your retainer prior to returning your contract, please be aware that we only allow a 48 hour grace period to hold the date, and if both items have not been returned within those 48 hours, the retainer is considered forfeited.

Do you have minimums?

When booking bridal beauty services, a minimum of $600 in wedding day services is required for on location services.

Are your prices negotiable?

Our rates are non-negotiable. Our rates include the best value for our bridal clients, and are incredibly competitive compared to other bridal companies. We pay very close attention to our brides, as well as their bridal parties, and firmly believe in and embody the saying “you get what you pay for”. Also, we believe in being fair, which means that we treat all of our clients fairly by charging the same pricing.

If Melissa is already booked, which artist will I get on my wedding day?

If Melissa is already booked, we will match you with an artist who is available for your date, and is carefully aligned to handle the specific needs of you and your bridal party . Please be aware that Melissa can be booked anywhere from 6 months to 1 year in advance.

Do you come to my location? Is there a fee?

Our team of licensed hair and makeup professionals is able to come to the location where you will be getting ready, saving you time and money, and allowing you and your bridal party to relax on your big day. We charge flat fee of $50 for up to one hour of travel, and an additional $30 per hour after the first hour. Please contact us for a quote.

Can M.A.W.Beauty handle larger bridal parties?

Of course! If your bridal party is on the larger side, just let us know! Our team can handle parties of any size!

Do you stay for touch ups?

An additional 15 minutes is always factored into the timeline for touch ups for the bride and bridal party after your M.A.W.Beauty Team completes all hair and makeup services at no additional cost. For exclusive touch up services for the bride, you may choose to book the Bridal Beauty Experience Package, which includes up to 3 hours of touch up services, and add additional hours using our Touch Ups and Add On’s menu.

Do you recommend booking a hair and/or makeup preview?

We believe that the preview considered an essential part of your bridal beauty experience. If you have not secured your wedding date with us yet, the rate for a Hair and Makeup Preview is $150, or $100 per service. Coming in for a preview is your chance to create the perfect look for your wedding day, and also give you the opportunity to get to know the artist who will be working with you throughout your planning process and on the day of your wedding.

We schedule 1.5 hours for each service preformed during a preview (ex. Hair or makeup only will be 1.5 hours, hair and makeup will be 3 hours). We will consult with you prior to your bridal preview session to make sure that you’re prepared, and we ask that you bring in your veil, headpiece, or hair accessories so that it can be worked into your style.

When should I book my hair and/or makeup preview?

If you’ve already secured your date with us, we recommend booking your preview 1-3 months prior to the wedding. If you have not secured your date with us yet, and would like to book a preview in order to help make your decision, we recommend booking your preview as soon as possible.

Where and when do you do previews?

Previews are held at a location to be determined at the time of booking your service. Previews are held Monday – Thursday from 8am – 3:00pm. Friday – Sunday appointments may be accommodated given availability for the date that you request.

Can I have my trial on the same day as my Engagement/Boudoir Pictures, etc?

Yes, however, we don’t recommend it unless you are planning to have the same look on your wedding day. We offer separate hair and makeup services for bridal related events.
