5 Daily Arbonne Makeup Essentials
Wearing a full face of makeup on a daily basis really isn’t an essential thing to do. I am truly of the mindset that if you take good care of your skin, having a consistent skin care routine, then there really is no need to load your skin with makeup. Now, don’t get me wrong – I love a good makeup application. I love getting glammed up, but on an every day basis, there are a few essential products that I use to create a clean, natural, fresh-faced look.
In our online boutique, we offer vegan beauty products from Arbonne International. I love these products because they are safe and the quality is beautiful. I often get compliments on my makeup – people actually ask me if I’m wearing any makeup at all because it looks so natural – kind of like I’m just THAT gorgeous naturally 😉 lol. I love these products, and I’m glad that I can offer them to my clients, and wanted to let you know what cosmetic products from the Arbonne cosmetics range I use all the time.
Here are my top 5 essential Arbonne cosmetic products that I use on an almost daily basis.
I tend not to use foundation on a daily basis. Again, I feel that when your skin is in great condition (thanks to a custom and consistent skin care regimen), you really shouldn’t need to cover a lot of things up. I use concealer to camouflage any darkness around my eyes. I also use concealer to hide any blemishes on my skin in the event that I have a break out or something of that sort. I use it as a spot treatment. When I want to look fresh and wide awake, concealer is a beauty essential.
Bronzer is my go-to product for creating a sunkissed look. Let’s face it, even though I’m melanated, these New England winters can be brutal. With the lack of sun exposure, I can get pretty pale, so I love to add just a little bit of color and warmth into my skin with bronzer. I tend to skip using blush in favor of using bronzer. I love adding a tiny bit of bronzy glow to my cheeks, and around the perimeter of my face, and bronzer does the trick for me.
Mascara can actually be a hit or miss for me. I love opening my eyes up with a good coat of mascara, but I’m also a person who is consistently touching and rubbing my eyes. Mascara isn’t exactly a daily essential for me, but if I want to look extra polished for the day, I will use it. I love a nice dark mascara that will lengthen and thicken my lashes. Also, since I’m pretty sensitive around my eyes, I have to be sure that it doesn’t flake and that its suitable for sensitive eyes.
Oh, the eyebrows. If you know me, or if you’ve sat in my chair for a service, we’ve probably talked about my love for eyebrows, and I’ve probably filled you in on my “eyebrow saga”. Basically, when I was about 13, my mom let me get my brows waxed and the lady burned them off – I’m talking scabs and all. It was pretty bad, and as a result, my eyebrows don’t really grow in anymore. In fact, I couldn’t tell you the last time I actually had to do maintenance on them…no waxing, no tweezing, and I’ve never had the opportunity to get threaded because there’s just nothing to thread. It’s a shame. But, a good eyebrow pencil is an essential item for me – whether I’m wearing any other makeup or not. I love a nice creamy pencil, and it always has to have a “spooly” brush on one end.
Lastly, lip color is the finishing touch for my daily makeup essential list. I can’t lie, I’m really a chapstick girl. Well, actually, I’m a Rosebud Salve girl. But, if I’m wearing any makeup, I often will wear some sort of lip gloss or lip stick. For lip glosses, I love a natural color – usually a soft pink or a natural , clear brown. Or, if I wear lip stick, I like to play with color a little more. I tend to go with berry colors during the colder seasons, and brighter orangy colors when it’s hot.
No matter what time of year it is, or whether I’m actually wearing makeup on my skin or not, you will never catch me without a bottle of water. I bring a 32 oz bottle of ice water with me wherever I go. Its not only important for keeping my body hydrated, but it keeps my skin healthy and hydrated as well. I honestly believe that my daily water consumption is the reason why I’m able to get away most days without a stitch of makeup on at all. Water is the KEY! (P.S. – That’s not water pictured in the bottle, but it is the bottle that I love and use daily! The drink in the picture is Arbonne’s 7 Day Body Cleanse – I also recommend doing this either monthly or bi-monthly to make sure that your system is cleansed of anything toxic that can cause flare ups in your skin).
