How do I officially book M.A.W.Beauty for my wedding?

Well, we’re so happy that you’d like to work with us! Once we determine if we are available for your date, a copy of our contract will be sent to you via email. Our contract can be completed online and singed electronically. Upon receiving the completed and signed contract, we will process your $200 non-refundable retainer, which will be applied to the total balance of your services. Upon receiving your contract and retainer, you date will be considered “booked”. If you should place your retainer prior to returning your contract, please be aware that we only allow a 72 hour grace period to hold the date, and if both items have not been returned within those 72 hours, the retainer is considered forfeited.

Do you have minimums?

When booking bridal beauty services, a minimum of $500 in wedding day services is required for on location services. A minimum of $400 in wedding day services is required for private use of the studio.

Are your prices negotiable?

Unfortunately, our rates are non-negotiable. Our rates include the best value for our bridal clients, and are incredibly competitive compared to other bridal companies. We pay very close attention to our brides, as well as their bridal parties, and firmly believe in and embody the saying “you get what you pay for”. Also, we believe in being fair, which means that we treat all of our clients fairly by charging the same pricing.

Why is gratuity included?

As a convenience to all of our bridal clients, we include a 20% gratuity into the cost of your bridal beauty package. We understand how hectic your wedding day and the days leading up to it can be, and the last thing that we want you to think about is handling money on your wedding day. Since your balance is required to be paid 2 weeks prior to your wedding date, we’ve created all inclusive pricing which allows you to have a carefree wedding day beauty service without thinking about any type of payment after receiving your service.

Do you recommend booking a hair and/or makeup preview?

We believe that the preview considered an essential part of your bridal beauty experience, and include them in our bridal package pricing. If you have not secured your wedding date with us yet, the rate for a Hair and Makeup Preview is $150, or $100 per service. Coming in for a preview is your chance to create the perfect look for your wedding day, and also give you the opportunity to get to know the artist who will be working with you throughout your planning process and on the day of your wedding.

We schedule 1.5 hours for each service preformed during a preview (ex. Hair or makeup only will be 1.5 hours, hair and makeup will be 3 hours), and ask that you bring in photos of looks that you love and might want to try, as well as photos of looks that you don’t love so much, that way we know what you do and don’t like. Also, if you are coming in for a hair preview, be sure to bring in your veil, headpiece, or hair accessories so that it can be worked into your style.

When should I book my hair and/or makeup preview?

If you’ve already secured your date with us, we recommend booking your preview 1-3 months prior to the wedding. If you have not secured your date with us yet, and would like to book a preview in order to help make your decision, we recommend booking your preview as soon as possible.

Where and when do you do previews?

Previews are held at our studio location. Previews are held Monday – Thursday from 9am – 4:30pm. Saturday and Sunday appointments may be accommodated given availability for the date that you request.

What happens during the Bridal Preview?

During your preview, you and your artist will consult about all of the fine details pertaining to your wedding day such as timing, location, number of services. You and your artist will then review photos of your hair and makeup inspiration, as well as photos of your dress and the bridesmaid dresses. Then, your artist will work with you every step of the way to create the perfect hair and makeup look for your wedding day. We will take before and after pictures for reference, and create a customized face chart documenting all of the products used during your preview.

Can I have my trial on the same day as my Engagement/Boudoir Pictures, etc?

Yes, however, we don’t recommend it unless you are planning to have the same look on your wedding day. We offer separate hair and makeup services for bridal related events.
