The Boutique

Our studio offers an exclusive shopping experience, separate from our styling area, where brides can find timeless items to pull the fine details together for their wedding day look. Our goal is to make it easy for our brides to put the finishing touches on their look, while helping past brides find a new home for wedding day style items that they no longer need. Our boutique is quiet, intimate and offers timeless style items that will help perfect your look for your wedding or special event.


We are currently looking to add the following merchandise to our boutique:


  • New and once worn wedding gowns
  • Bridal hair accessories including veils, combs, clips, hair pins, hair vines, and headbands
  • Jewelry such as necklaces, earrings, bracelets, and cocktail rings
  • Special event handbags/clutch purses
  • Designer Shoes
  • Vintage items welcome!

What does it mean to consign?

By choosing to consign, you are authorizing M.A.W.Beauty Hair & Makeup Studio to sell your wedding gown or other wedding style items. We do not purchase any items directly. Once your items sell, we will issue payment for your consigned items via PayPal. The consignor retains ownership of all items, and all items are left at your own risk. While we are incredibly careful and trustworthy with your items, please be aware that they may be tried on. We assume no liability for flood, fire, theft, damage, or loss by accident. M.A.W.Beauty Hair & Makeup Studio cannot hold insurance for items that we do not own.

Is there a fee for selling my items?

There is no fee for selling your items until they actually sell. Once your item is sold, pay out will be as follows:


Wedding Gowns:  60% of the selling price, less any fees reasonable fees for steaming, cleaning, and/or small repairs


Jewelry/Accessories/ Handbags/Shoes: 50% of the selling price

What type of items will be accepted for consignment?

We take all items on a space available basis, and require that they are in like new condition. This means that all items must be free of odor, pet hair, rips, tears, holes, stains, missing buttons, and broken zippers. M.A.W.Beauty Hair & Makeup Studio reserves the right to reject any item that we feel may not sell in our boutique, and we also reserve the right to charge for steaming/cleaning and minor repairs if needed.

-New and like-new wedding gowns

-Mother of the bride/groom dresses

-Belts and sashes

-Wedding jewelry

-Veils and hair accessories

-Wedding clutch handbags

-Designer shoes


Please Note:

-All wedding gowns must be no more than 5 years old, unless vintage, and must have an original retail of $1,800 or more. Additionally, they must be professionally cleaned and come on a hanger in a garment bag. If a garment bag is not provided, you may purchase one from us.

-We do not accept bridesmaid dresses unless you have a group of 3 or more dresses that have been unaltered (or minimally altered) and professionally cleaned.

How will you advertise my items?

We know that many brides are planning and shopping for their weddings online, and we are firm believers of having a strong online presence. Your items will be advertised through our website, blog and various social media channels. Additionally, we have a strong network of wedding vendors, as well as past brides/bridesmaids, who may know an upcoming bride in need. Lastly, your items may be viewed in person through in-studio open house and trunk show events, or by scheduling a private appointment for viewing.


All listings for your items must be removed from online and other sources while under contract with M.A.W.Beauty Hair & Makeup Studio.

Do I need an appointment to bring in my items?

Our boutique studio operates by appointment only, so you will need to schedule an appointment to bring in your wedding gown, or other items that you are looking to sell. We recommend that, prior to scheduling an appointment, you complete the inquiry form located on this page with all of the details about the items that you are looking to sell. Once you complete the form, and we determine whether your item will be a fit for our boutique, we will contact you to schedule an appointment for you to bring the item/s in for viewing and consigning.

Does my dress need to be cleaned?

Yes, all gowns must be cleaned prior to consigning. If your gown has not been professionally cleaned, we can refer one of our trusted professionals for you to take your gown to.

How long is the consignment period?

Our consignment period begins at 6 months, where most consignment shops offer only 90 days.


After the initial 6 month period, you may choose to extend the time that your items are in consignment by 60 day increments. For each additional 60 days that your items are in consignment, they will be marked down by an additional 20%. The items being contracted for consignment must NOT be listed for sale anywhere else during the period of the consignment contract.


At the end of your consignment period, if your items do not sell, you will have 7 days to pick them up. If you have not picked up your items after 7 days, they will be come the property of M.A.W.Beauty Hair & Makeup Studio, and may be donated to a local charity of our choice.

How much will my items sell for?

Our goal is to sell the items that you are consigning, and we have created a markdown schedule of the retail value of your item based on how old your item is. All items will sell at set a price for the first 3 months of our 6 month consignment period. After 3 months, all items will be marked down an additional 10% every 30 days, until the end of our 6 month consignment period.


Our markdown schedule is as follows:


Wedding Gowns:

New/Samples – 35% off

1 Year – 40% off

2 Years – 50% off

3 Years – 60% off

4 Years – 70% off

5 Years –  75% off


Other items:

All other items will be marked down at 50% off of the retail value, and sold at the set price for the first 3 months of the initial 6 month consignment period. After 3 months, all items will be marked down an additional 10% for each 30 day period of the remaining 6 month consignment period.

What if my item doesn't sell?

If your dress does not sell by the end of your 60 day consignment period, you will have the option to extend your consignment agreement in 60 day increments. If you choose to remove your item from consignment, due to our limited space, you will need to make arrangements to pick up your item within 7 days. If your item is not picked up within 7 days, it becomes the property of M.A.W.Beauty Hair & Makeup Studio.

When will I receive my payment?

You will receive payment for your item within 2 weeks of the selling date. Payment is issued via PayPal. It is your responsibility to provide M.A.W.Beauty Hair & Makeup Studio with a valid email address associated with PayPal.
